The Academy pre-school opened its doors in 1997 as a ministry of the Versailles United Methodist Church to provide the community with a Christian based educational child care facility.

We are a licensed and inspected Christian daycare and preschool offering a year-round program for infants from 6 weeks to Pre-K aged children.

In addition, our program has earned a Kentucky two star rating, and our staff is trained in first-aid and CPR.

mission

The Academy creates a safe, loving, and caring Christian atmosphere for the children under our care. By REACHING out to children and families who are far from God, helping those children and families GROW up into passionate and mature followers of Jesus, we SEND those children and families into the world to be faithful disciples of Jesus.

Darlene has been married since November 2012 and has one stepson. Darlene loves children and truly enjoys seeing them learn and grow each day. With our years of experience and organized lesson plans, The Academy of Versailles United Methodist Church offers a unique learning environment.

Our dedicated teachers instill Christian principles through role modeling, Bible lessons, memory verses, respect, good manners, friendships, patriotism and loving one another. The Academy believes that educational play is the process through which children learn. Play is fundamental in assisting emotional and language skills while enhancing self-esteem as children learn to become more independent. We believe active participation with concrete materials is a direct link to knowledge through lessons, prayer, singing and more.

Our goal is to make your child’s learning experiences happy and enjoyable while extending the Word of God into their hearts and minds.
