A new school year is beginning, and Versailles UMC is celebrating the students, teachers, school staff, and families who make our community such a special place.

Community Highlight

A New School Year Begins

Back-to-school season is more than new backpacks, schedules, classrooms, and routines. It marks the beginning of another chapter for children, young people, educators, school staff, and families throughout our community.

As students return to the classroom, Versailles United Methodist Church is surrounding them with prayer and encouragement. We are also grateful for the teachers, administrators, support staff, and families who invest so much time, energy, and love into helping students learn and grow.

Our prayer is that every student, teacher, staff member, and family enters this school year knowing that their community is cheering them on.

Church does not exist apart from its community. We are neighbors, parents, grandparents, teachers, students, volunteers, and friends. When one part of our community begins a new season, we have an opportunity to walk alongside them.

So as classrooms fill again and another year of learning begins, we pray for wisdom, patience, safety, friendship, discovery, and plenty of moments worth celebrating.

❤️ Why This Story Matters

Loving like Jesus includes caring about what is happening beyond the walls of the church. Our schools are filled with children and adults who are learning, teaching, serving, growing, and sometimes carrying burdens that others may never see.

Prayer is one way we remind our neighbors that they do not walk into a new school year alone. We celebrate their successes, encourage them through challenges, and continue looking for ways to serve the community we call home.
