He and Libby, who have been married for 20+ years, have four children; Anne, Katy, Aly and Miles and two dogs Daisy and Bailey. Kent grew up attending the Versailles Methodist church when his family moved to Versailles in 1966 and was a faithful member until 1992 when he became the Associate Music Director at Centenary United Methodist church in Lexington, Ky. One of his favorite gospel quartets is the Gaither Vocal band. He also loves the music of Geron Davis, Kirk Franklin, Larnelle Harris, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Michael English and many more. His favorite choir (other than the one he directs) is the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and he was blessed to rehearse and sing with the choir during a recent music leader’s conference. When he isn’t planning, playing, singing or leading worship on Sunday, you will most likely find him camping, spending time with family or just relaxing at home.
